2012 Chrysler 300-Series Base 4dr Sedan V6 300S RWD

Reviews

A little early to tell. But the quality of the design seems to be great in this model. I have two friends with the
2008-2009 models and have driven one and this redesign year seems to have made some legitimate improvements. The
interior is par excellance` I'm 6"6 - 240 and the seat and leg room is unbelievable. Even room behind my seat for the
rear occupants. The increase in front window size a plus, and they managed to retain the contour. The interior is well
laid out and the craftsmanship is really high quality. Onboard systems function extremely well. It's early though. As
a doctoral research student in systems engineer for space systems, I can appreciate the layout and approach in placement
of the controls and visibility for readouts and displays. The human factor considerations were well thought out for all
sizes. More trunk space than can be imagined. Handling is very responsive, though it does appear to have a degree a
sway in the rear end given standard Limited 18" wheels, tires RWD. Braking smooth and responsive. The gas mileage has
been consistent +/- 5% it seems with what is stated. The Pentastar let's you feel the 292 hp. I have a Challenger V6,
2009 and the gas mileage is horrible. In fact my wife's 2007 Charger V6 is much more responsive than the Challenger.
Lots of reasons for that...after all they're V6s. I drive approx 107 miles round trip daily, so I love what Chrysler has
done with this engine power train combination. The sound system is adequate for the class, though when you USB in the
IPod the the interface has variety, but forces you to do too much in terms of selection. Though to be fair you can
control everything from the steering wheel, but it could have been a little more thought out in terms of operation. Not
a gamer changer.. especially with an SD reader that is really fast. A 32 GB SD card and you entire collection of
everything can go with you! The rear window and rear view takes a bit of getting use too. Anyone with a Challenger
who's honest will tell you about the huge blind spots... this isn't as constraining... but rear visibility is
restricted. When looking at it however, they are trade offs for the styling. Not a game changer for me in the
least. The rest will come with time... to determine the reliability and maintainability value. This redesign year I
like. I looked at the additional features of the 2012, universal garage door opener and a few others and they didn't
warrant the 2012 shift for me price wise in relationship to feature additions. This is the design year, so no game
changer there for me. It's all personal and relative I'm sure. Overall... the evolution to include Fiat was a wise
decision in my view. The retention of the best of the hard line mechanics with the upgrade and luxury interior
ergonomics is a great blend for this iteration!
