Question: will leaving the gas cap off make the check engine light com
99 Saab 9-5 ..buying this car from a dealer... check engine light came on while I was test driving..he said it was because the gas cap had been left off... is this a senor on the 9-5's ?

Yes!!! I spent 100.00 for a service diagnostic just to find out that the gas cap was missing. Once I bought one, the light went out. (after a day, the car needs to re run it's own diagnostic for the light to go off)
