Question: what's the name of the plastic box under drivers side splash

i have a 1994 nissan altima gxe,and I was wondering whats the name of the plastic box located under the drivers side front splash guard?

I not too familiar with Altimas but a lot of lower cars have a hard plastic plate in that location that is used to jack up the car. If it holds a type of liquid or plays a mechanical role, disregard my comment.
