Question: what will replacing air bag control unit cost

air bag light is flashing, I've been told I need to replace the computer control unit

Someone on the Nissanhelp forum with a 98 Maxima had problems with their air bag unit (replacing it is said to cost around 1,000). I'd call around at all the local repair shops and see what they say. You can get listings for repair shops at Driverside, under Service your Maxima.
