The 560 vehicles from Mercedes-Benz were powered by hand-built 5.55 Liter V8 engines. (MB model names typically reference the displacement of the car's engine.)

Benz offered the 560 engine in several models in different markets and output varied from place to place. A US-spec 560 from 1990 made 238 hp, the European model made 272. Tuners like AMG could bump that to well over 300 hp. A stock US 560 SEC turned these numbers into a 0-60 time of 7.5 seconds.
