It is my thought that your transfer case selections are:
2
4Hi
N
4Lo
(Neutral may not be there)

I am not familiar with the stick positions of the manual transfer case particular to your Jimmy so I will give you a users approach to figuring it out (it would be easy if you had a snow covered road).

2 - vehicle drives normally (on snowy road if the rear 'breaks loose' and wants to fishtail when you accelerate hard)
4Lo - engine will rev very high for the relative speed you are going (4Lo should only be used in rare cases- like pulling a boat out of the water or other instances where extreme torque, not speed, is necessary)
4Hi - try to make a tight turn (crank the wheel all the way) at low speed on dry pavement. It will feel 'stiff' or resistive (on snowy road the vehicle will tend to go straight rather than fishtail when accelerating hard)
Neutral - vehicle will not move regardless of what gear the transmission is in

Hopefully someone will Jimmy experience can give you a conclusive answer.
