Question: CVT Transmission Shutter

I've noticed a lot of shutter from my 2009 Altama CVT transmission when I'm accelerating. I talked with the Nissan service dept. locally and was told that it was normal for that Transmission. Is this correct. It does seem to be a bit much as I can feel the shutter much of the time while driving as I accelerate. Just strong enough shutter jerking that I am aware of it going on.
